Thousands of breeders of cage and aviary birds from all over the world meet annually at the Mondial to meet each other, compare birds and exhibit birds, hoping to win a prestigious prize. The ultimate crown on a breeding season.
In 2019, it is the honor of the Netherlands to organize de Mondial on behalf of Confédération Ornithologique Mondiale. The executive organization is in the hands of the “Nederlandse Bond van Vogellliefhebbers” (NBvV), with 25.000 members probably the largest bird association in the world.
